York, NY 10003 Courtney Elizabeth Mauk’s work has appeared in The Literary Review,
Forge Journal, PANK, Word Riot, Joyland, and the anthology Gravity Fiction,
which has been named a finalist for the Eric Hoffer Award for independently
published books. Two of her short stories have been nominated for the Pushcart
Prize. She received her MFA in Fiction from Columbia University and teaches
writing at College of Staten Island. Olena Jennings completed her MFA at Columbia University and her MA at
the University of Alberta. Her translations from the Ukrainian have been
published in Poetry International, Poetry International Web, and Chelsea. Her
feature articles and book reviews can be found on KGB Bar Lit, Fanzine, the

Fiction, a wonderful anthology that includes my story “Beautiful
Things,” has been named a finalist for the Eric Hoffer Award for independently
published books. I’ll be reading at Franklin Park’s short fiction
night on Monday, January 11th.
